Fire Bound is the 5th book in the Sisters of the Heart series. If you haven’t read any of the books in the series, don’t worry, they can stand alone though you’ll probably feel like getting hold of a copy of the others so you can fill in the blanks.
As the title of the series indicates, the women are not blood related. The six of them met in group counseling, all of them survivors of vicious crimes that took away their families. They bonded together and decided to purchase a farm in Sea Haven. This is a paranormal series, so yes, each has a gift.
Naturally, there must be a leading man for each. Enter the Prakenskii brothers. The youngest Prakenskii, Ilya, was introduced in the series the Drake Sisters. His brothers are the men who match the very special women in the Sisters of the Heart series. Sometimes I want to change the name of the series to Prakenskii series (since all the male leads are Prakenskiis) or even to Bound series (based on the title).
Fire Bound is the story of Lissa Piner and Casmir Prakenskii. She’s a glass blower and he’s a very special agent. Lisa is off to Europe, supposedly for business purposes but it really isn’t just that. The brothers called Casmir in to protect her because none of them can go with her and they want to make sure she has support while out of the country.
With an element like fire in her hands, you bet this will not be a girl who will sit quietly and just knit. Put her together with a tough, arrogant, highly capable operative such as Casmir and you can bet on getting a wild ride of an adventure.
I hope you enjoy the story as much as I did. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts on this book!
